"I couldn’t recommend this opportunity to anyone considering applying more, because no matter what level experience you already have your time with council will be profoundly rewarding, and it will challenge you to grow both professionally and personally"
Program overview
It is more than just Council opening the doors to new employees, it is about creating opportunities for you to gain real life experiences through engagement with our teams, projects and goals.
My Summer Workplace equips you with practical on-the-job skills and experiences that help enhance your employability upon graduation. It is an opportunity for you to demonstrate and apply your theoretical knowledge to daily tasks or projects, while gaining professional workplace skills.
The program runs for 12 weeks, starting late November when summer break starts. As an Intern, you will work 28 hours per week over 4 days (7 hours per day) and be engaged in projects and tasks related to your area of study.
Opportunities are advertised on our careers page around September each year.
