About the Role

The Sport and Community Venues Branch delivers and manages high‑quality facilities that support sport, events and community connection across the Sunshine Coast. From major sporting fixtures to local community activities, the branch plays a vital role in creating welcoming, functional and safe venues that encourage participation, social connection and pride in place.

As a Venue Attendant, you’ll support the day‑to‑day operation of Sunshine Coast Stadium, ensuring facilities are presented to a high standard and ready for use. This hands‑on, customer‑focused role is central to delivering positive experiences for venue users, event organisers and the broader community, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, accountability and working in active environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare venues for scheduled events, bookings and activities
  • Deliver friendly, professional customer service to all users
  • Complete cleaning, presentation and basic facility set‑up tasks
  • Support bookings, revenue collection and venue administration

About you

  • You enjoy working in customer‑facing roles and take pride in creating welcoming, well‑presented spaces for the public.
  • You bring strong communication skills and engage positively with a wide range of people in fast‑paced environments. You’re reliable, safety‑focused and comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • You hold a current Active blue card or ability to obtain prior to commencement

Pre-Employment Medical Required

Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
