About the Role
The Sunshine Coast Stadium Team supports the delivery of major sporting and community events across Council-managed venues.
As a Senior Events Officer, you’ll assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering high-profile events and venue operations, ensuring a seamless experience for stakeholders and the community.
- Support planning and delivery of major events and daily operations
- Provide advice on scheduling, incidents, and facility use
- Coordinate venue bookings, agreements, and stakeholder communications
- Assist with event funding submissions and reporting
- Act as Duty Manager during events and oversee site inductions and staff
About you
As a professional in event operations, you bring a passion for delivering exceptional experiences and a strong understanding of sporting and community event environments.
You will have:
- Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering events
- Strong organisational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event systems (e.g. Momentus), with knowledge of sporting clubs, logistics, and venue operations
- Certificate IV in Business Administration, Sport Management, or equivalent experience
Blue Card Required
As a requirement of this role, you will possess a current Blue Card and current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain one.
Pre-Employment Medical Required
Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
Criminal History Check Required
Appointment to this position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a Criminal History Check.
