About the Role

As Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex, large-scale civil infrastructure and strategic projects from concept through to completion. Reporting to the Civil Program Delivery Manager, you will manage project planning, financial performance, stakeholder engagement, and risk, while providing expert advice across a diverse project portfolio of civil projects. This is an exciting opportunity to drive projects that directly influence the region’s development, working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and monitor project plans, including schedules, budgets and risk controls.
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders, including Councillors, staff and the public.
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors and internal teams to achieve project outcomes.

About you

As a requirement of this role, you will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or other similar qualifications relevant to the field and substantial relevant experience and hold a Queensland White Card/Construction Industry Induction Card.

You’re an experienced project manager with a proven track record delivering complex civil infrastructure and capital works projects.

You bring strong skills in planning, financial management, risk mitigation, and reporting, with the confidence to manage competing priorities and evolving project demands.

You thrive in stakeholder‑rich environments, using your communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills to drive successful outcomes—often within politically sensitive contexts.

You’re a solutions‑focused professional with a strategic mindset, strong leadership capability, and the ability to navigate legislation, policy, and governance expectations with confidence.
