About the Role
As a Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the Sunshine Coast’s infrastructure future. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end project delivery from concept development through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
- Driving strategic planning, conducting feasibility studies, developing design documentation, and contributing to infrastructure policy and economic development initiatives.
- Managing stakeholder relationships engaging internal teams, external contractors, government agencies, and the community with clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.
- Overseeing risk and compliance by preparing risk management and communication plans, ensuring legislative and policy compliance, and maintaining Council’s public image.
- Providing expert advice by supporting Councillors and senior leaders with insights and recommendations on complex infrastructure matters.
- Provide and review detailed programs highlighting critical milestones.
- Provide monthly project reports that identify financial position, program status and identify risks.
About you
You’re a confident and capable leader who thrives in dynamic environments. You bring:
- Proven project management expertise in infrastructure, construction, or planning, with a track record of delivering medium to large-scale projects.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Analytical and strategic thinking to assess complex issues, develop actionable plans, and drive innovation.
- Leadership and mentoring experience to guide multidisciplinary teams and foster a values-driven workplace culture.
- Qualifications and certifications including tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and a Queensland White Card.
