About the Role

The Principal Property Officer (Commercial) is responsible for identifying and implementing value-add opportunities, maximising portfolio returns, managing commercial leasing activities and negotiating agreements.

You will be key to investigating and resolving complex property issues. In an average day you will:

  • Prepare and provide professional advice on property matters including financial models; market analysis; feasibility studies; business cases, real estate and property advice; investment and procurement advice; and architectural / development and building advice.
  • Investigating, negotiating, and managing complex property acquisitions and disposals.
  • Review Council’s land portfolio to identify underutilised assets for disposal or reutilisation as well as identifying and implementing value add opportunities.
  • Preparation of budget bids, business cases, briefing papers.

About you

You will be degree level qualified in a relevant field including land economics, property development, town planning and/or valuation.  High-level skills in commercial and strategic property management. Post graduate qualification desirable

You will demonstrate experience in leading a diverse range of property development projects including property acquisitions, development and disposal.

You will have demonstrated ability to coordinate stakeholder input and ability to communicate to stakeholders at all levels.

You will have proven experience in development and reporting on the feasibility of potential developments.

You will have a clear understanding in the technical aspects, specifically pre-feasibility and feasibility of building and land development projects.
