About the Role

Reporting to the Library Collection and Digital Services Supervisor, this role leads the Digital Services Team and oversees the delivery, performance and continuous improvement of library technology systems and digital platforms.

You will manage day‑to‑day digital operations across library services, lead the Library Management System (LMS), RFID solutions and major technology projects, and provide expert advice on emerging technologies to ensure responsive, secure and customer‑focused services.

  • Lead the Digital Services Team, including performance management, training and capability development
  • Manage day‑to‑day library technology operations, ensuring timely issue resolution and customer‑focused service delivery
  • Lead and administer the Library Management System (LMS), RFID solutions, and major library hardware and software implementations
  • Oversee digital services and technology contracts, procurement activities, reporting and data analysis to support service improvement

About you

You are a confident leader with experience managing digital or library technology services, capable of leading and developing a specialist team to deliver reliable, customer‑focused outcomes.

You have hands‑on experience overseeing complex systems and digital platforms, with the ability to manage day‑to‑day operations, resolve issues efficiently and support continuous service improvement.

You bring strong project, contract and vendor management capability, enabling you to deliver technology implementations and manage budgets, performance and compliance effectively.

You communicate clearly and decisively, using data, reporting and technical insight to provide expert advice, support decision‑making and guide future‑focused digital solutions.
