About the Role
The Project Delivery Branch complies the ten-year capital works program and coordinates delivery of allocated capital projects to provide ‘cradle to grave; project management while focusing on total program delivery within budget and time constraints. The branch takes a leading role in community and councillor consultation, ensuring value for money outcomes in all facets of project delivery.
The Civil program currently consists of 70-million-dollar annual budget spread over 180 projects of varying size. As Civil Program Delivery Manager, you will empower a high-performing team of 17 project management professionals to harness their collective strengths to deliver innovative and efficient civil infrastructure projects across the Sunshine Coast. As an integral member of the Project Delivery Branch, you will apply your expertise in project and program management to ensure the successful and timely delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital works.
This includes coordinating, planning, programming and reporting the delivery of major and minor infrastructure projects from the Capital Works Program using best practice project and program management techniques. The role has a key liaison function with a large range of stakeholders across the organisation to ensure councillors and clients are regularly briefed on project and program delivery status.
The ability to comprehend and communicate strategic directions while developing tactical programs to align with Council’s adopted Capital Works Program, including the successful interpretation and advocacy of corporate drivers and strategic plans is key to success in this role.
You will partner with Council and Government agency professionals and service providers to maintain a high level of awareness of infrastructure delivery requirements and issues at all levels, to help properly define and realise the range of infrastructure place making outcomes desired for the region.
About you
As a requirement of this role, you will possess tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a closely related field.
You will possess a current C class drivers license, and a Queensland White Card/Construction Industry Card.
You will have demonstrated extensive experience in infrastructure planning and design, project delivery and program planning on a medium to large scale.
You will have demonstrated outstanding communication, consultation, negotiation, networking and advocacy skills to support strong relationships and agreements with staff, the community, consultants and contractors.
You will have excellent resource needs analysis and application solution skills for major and minor projects, and the proven experience in project and program management, financial management and human resources management.
