About the Role

The Project Delivery Branch plays a vital role in delivering high‑quality civil infrastructure for our growing region. With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and place‑making, the Branch brings projects to life through expert planning, design and delivery. You’ll join a team that values collaboration, continuous improvement and creating meaningful outcomes for the Sunshine Coast community.

As the Civil Minor Works Delivery Lead, you’ll provide leadership in the planning, design and delivery of minor to medium‑scale civil infrastructure projects. This role is central to shaping project outcomes and ensuring programs are delivered efficiently, sustainably and in alignment with Council’s strategic vision. It’s an opportunity to guide a high‑performing team, influence regional infrastructure outcomes and contribute to projects that directly improve community connections and liveability.

  • Lead, support and develop the Minor Works Team to deliver cohesive, high‑quality outcomes.
  • Coordinate design and delivery of minor to medium‑scale civil projects aligned with approved programs.
  • Plan, design and deliver capital works and asset renewal projects using best‑practice project management.
  • Provide expert advice and collaborate across branches, executives and community stakeholders.

About you

You’re an experienced civil infrastructure professional who can lead teams and you thrive on delivering meaningful outcomes.

Your expertise in civil project planning, design and delivery enables you to manage complex programs with confidence and clarity.

Your project management capability is backed by sound financial, resource and risk management experience, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and strategically.

You bring strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, allowing you to build trusted relationships across Council and the community.

You’re proactive, collaborative and committed to continuous improvement, always looking for ways to enhance project outcomes, sustainability and team capability.
