About the Role
The Transport Network Operations branch provides high level maintenance, construction and asset management services for all road and related infrastructure assets (pavements, bridges, drainage, pathways and street furniture). Continuous performance improvement through leadership and employee engagement is a critical focus of the group.
As a Civil Field Worker you will carry out a hands-on role in delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day operation of civil maintenance and construction tasks.
You will assist in general construction, maintenance labouring tasks associated with and including truck operations, and assist the Field Leader in the supervision of tasks and the provision of on-the-job coaching as required.
You will ensure you meet obligations under the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the Environmental Protection Act.
About you
As a requirement for this role, you will possess a General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) - White Card, and a current “C” Class drivers’ licence.
A current Medium Rigid (MR) licence would be advantageous.
You will have demonstrated experience and ability to operate and undertake general maintenance of trucks, relevant civil construction, and machinery.
You will have demonstrated problem solving and communication skills necessary to follow direction and work programs to complete tasks within set timeframes and have demonstrated the ability to work as an effective team member of a high performing team with the ability to work under limited supervision.
Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength, and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
As part of this recruitment process, you must be available to attend a group Assessment Centre on 21 October 2025 at Venue 114.
