About the Role

The Transport Network Management branch provides expert solutions and products to facilitate the ongoing management of our civil assets and associated services. The branch takes a service outcome focus on deriving solutions that may then be delivered through assets, operations or combinations of the two to satisfy the specific need or council policy/direction.

The Parking Facility Officer role works under general direction from the Parking & Transport Manager and/or Senior Transport Planner, and in accordance with recognised guidelines and standards, assist in the operational planning and management of parking across the Sunshine Coast.

As a Parking Facility Officer, you will:

  • Assist with undertaking service and maintenance works for parking meters and ancillary equipment as required to ensure the continued delivery of metered and non-metered parking programs across the region.
  • Assist and undertake work practices, systems and processes in relation to cash collection from parking meters across the region, including cash collection operations and record management as needed.
  • Work with support from the Parking Technical Officer and Parking & Transport Manager, to resolve complex customer service and operations issues and projects.

About you

As a requirement of this role, you will possess a currently “C” class Queensland Driver’s Licence.

You will have well-developed time management and organisational skills and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will have technical skills relating to the operation and basic maintenance of parking meters, and technical and operational skills relation to the operation and management of multi-deck car parks.

Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.

Appointment to this position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a Criminal History Check.
