About the Role
Our Sunshine Coast Libraries are seeking casual Library Officers to help drive the essential day-to-day operations. This is an exciting opportunity to champion library resources, facilitate engaging programs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of services that make a real difference in our community.
Key duties include:
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist with library enquiries
- Promote and deliver programs such as story time, technology sessions, and events
- Perform core library duties including shelving, issues, returns, and collection maintenance
- Maintain strong knowledge of library resources, including digital and online platforms
About you
- You have a passion for helping people and delivering exceptional service across multiple channels.
- You thrive in collaborative environments and bring a positive, can-do attitude to achieving team goals.
- You’re confident using digital tools and eager to learn and teach new technologies to others.
- You can manage multiple tasks, lead programs for diverse audiences, and maintain a fresh, modern library environment.
Pre-Employment Medical Required:
Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
