About the Roles

The Transport Network Operations branch is currently recruiting for multiple Civil Field Worker positions at Levels 3 and 4.

The Transport Network Operations branch provides high‑quality maintenance, construction and asset management services for roads, bridges, drainage, pathways and related infrastructure.

As a Civil Field Worker, you will perform hands‑on civil maintenance and construction tasks that keep our road and transport networks operating safely and effectively.

You will assist with general construction and maintenance labouring tasks, including truck and plant operations, concreting, drainage, roads, bridges and roadsides assets and supporting the Field Leader by helping complete tasks and providing on‑the‑job coaching as required.

The roles available are in the Concrete, Roads, Drainage and Bridge Teams.

About you

As a requirement of this role, you will possess a current C Class Drivers Licence, Certificate III in Civil Construction or have relevant experience.

You will have demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member of a high performing team.

You will have demonstrated problem solving and communication skills necessary to follow direction and work programs to complete tasks within set timeframes and have demonstrated the ability to work as an effective team member of a high performing team with the ability to work under limited supervision.

Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
