About the Role

Customer Response ensures the education, safety and amenity of the Sunshine Coast Community.

Burials and Plaques Attendant carries out a key role in delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day burial and memorials activities whilst ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with Council policy and legislation.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Carry out tasks associated with burials, interment of cremated remains and installation of memorials: including.
  • Operate machinery and equipment associated with the function of the position and consistent with the award.
  • Plan and carry out grave care activities throughout councils cemeteries.
  • Carry out basic asset based maintenance and improvement tasks including painting and minor repairs.

About you

As a requirement of this role, you will possess:

  • 30215 Qld – General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) – White Card
  • Current Open Drivers Licence “MR” Class
  • Excavator operator ticket
  • Chainsaw Operators Certificate
  • Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control Licence
  • Physical agility and the level of fitness
