About the Role

Join our Cemetery Services team within the Customer Response branch, where you'll support families with empathy and precision—navigating sensitive moments with care, clarity, and professional boundaries.

This role involves managing multiple tasks with daily competing priorities, while liaising with funeral directors, stonemasons, and other stakeholders to coordinate burial and ash interment services. Your ability to remain composed, detail-focused, and respectful will be key to delivering high-quality, personalised service.

Key duties include:

  • Provide compassionate customer service and process applications, bookings, and payments
  • Liaise with funeral directors, stonemasons, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver seamless service
  • Liaise with suppliers, manage inventory, and maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate and guide customers through memorial design and installation

This position is based in Council’s Nambour Office.

About you

You’re a compassionate and detail-oriented professional who thrives in customer-facing roles, especially those requiring empathy and emotional resilience. Your ability to support families during challenging times is matched by your commitment to delivering respectful, professional and personalised service.

You bring a Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent experience, along with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You’re confident working independently, managing competing priorities, and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Proficiency in computer systems—including design applications—is essential.

Experience in end-of-life services or memorial design is highly desirable. If you’re someone who values meaningful work and enjoys being part of a supportive team, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Appointment to this position is subject to the completion of a psychometric assessment, designed to support role alignment and workplace success.
