About the Role
The Design and Placemaking Services Branch plays a vital role in delivering design and design management services that support Council's capital works program and major projects. The team is responsible for creating fit-for-purpose solutions that enhance community assets, contribute to the region's liveability and help deliver sustainable outcomes for the Sunshine Coast.
As an Administration Support Officer, you'll be the backbone of the branch's daily operations, providing high-quality administrative and business support across operational activities, capital projects and strategic initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders while supporting projects that make a real impact on the communities and places that make the Sunshine Coast unique.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative and business support to assist the delivery of operational activities, capital projects and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate financial administration activities, including purchase orders, goods receipting, corporate card reconciliations and financial record management.
- Manage customer enquiries, correspondence and requests through Council systems, ensuring timely responses and positive customer outcomes.
- Coordinate branch records, meetings and governance processes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and project delivery.

You have strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail and experience using systems and applications such as Microsoft Office to support business operations.
