About the Role
Focused on attracting investment, supporting commerce and delivering major events, the Economic Development branch works collaboratively with stakeholders to create jobs and long-term economic growth for the Sunshine Coast community.
This role provides high-level project and partnership support across tourism and major events, contributing to the planning, delivery and evaluation of initiatives that position the Sunshine Coast as a premier destination. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll help drive event success, optimise systems and deliver insights that support strategic decision-making and economic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead systems and administration for major events and partnerships
- Produce reports, insights and performance data Manage a highly detailed budget and tracking of outcomes
- Develop and support event partnership opportunities
About you
- You’re a proactive project professional with experience in tourism, events or economic development, and a passion for delivering impactful outcomes.
- You bring strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work on time.
- You’re a confident communicator who builds strong relationships with stakeholders and provides clear, professional advice and support.
- You’re tech-savvy and detail-oriented, experienced in systems, reporting, and using data to inform decisions and improve processes.
