About the Role
As a Property Officer within Sunshine Coast Council’s Property Management Branch, you’ll play a key role in managing Council’s diverse property portfolio. This includes commercial, retail, residential, sporting, and community tenancies across the region. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that ensures Council’s property assets are optimally used, well-maintained, and aligned with strategic goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating tenancy agreements and compliance inspections
- Managing property records and financial transactions
- Facilitating negotiations with tenants and stakeholders
- Assessing land use matters including encroachments, easements, and road closures
- Providing expert advice on property and land management issues
- Supporting continuous improvement in property systems and processes
About you
You will:
- Hold relevant qualifications or experience in property/land management preferably within a government organisation
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of property legislation and compliance
- Possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Be financially savvy with experience in budget monitoring
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office and property systems
