About the Role
Strategy and Policy Coordination Services sits at the centre of Council’s future connecting strategy, planning, service delivery and partnerships to turn big ideas into real outcomes for the Sunshine Coast community. It’s where strategic thinking meets action, shaping a region that’s connected, liveable and thriving.
In this role, you’ll lead a high impact transformation program bringing together people, partners and work streams to drive smarter ways of working, lift performance and deliver real, measurable results. You’ll champion strong governance and change practices while delivering initiatives that strengthen Council’s efficiency and long-term sustainability.
- Lead a high-profile, organisation wide transformation aligned to strategy and financial sustainability
- Provide trusted advice to executives, informing trade-offs and decision making.
- Establish robust governance, driving disciplined delivery, monitoring and benefits realisation
- Partner with vendors and stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes and lasting value
- Champion change that embeds new ways of working, is customer centric and drives innovation.
- Drive benefits realisation, ensuring tangible improvements in efficiency and service outcomes
- Lead a high-performing team, fostering accountability, collaboration and impact
About you
You’re an accomplished transformation leader who thrives in complexity and delivers results that matter. You bring a strong commercial and strategic lens, confidently partnering with senior leaders to turn business priorities into executable programs. With sharp communication and influencing skills, you navigate ambiguity, lead at pace and drive alignment across large, complex organisations.
- Tertiary qualification in business, management, commerce or a related field
- Proven success leading complex, enterprise-wide transformation programs
- Experience managing client-side consulting/vendor engagements
- Strong ability to influence and collaborate with executive and senior stakeholders
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Background working in or with large, complex organisations
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
