About the Role
The Procurement branch play a pivotal role in servicing the organisation and community to meet Council’s legislative requirements in relation to Procurement and Contracting.
As the Procurement Support Officer, you will provide professional high level administration assistance within the Procurement team,, working collaboratively with relevant parties to improve operations and maintain service delivery, adhering to Council’s legislative requirements and adopted policies and frameworks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide high level administrative assistance to Procurement Specialists to support the delivery of procurement and contracting activities.
- Assist in the development and review of procurement and contract documentation, including publishing quote and tender documentation via Council’s electronic tendering platforms (VendorPanel / Open Windows).
- Assist with procurement evaluation processes
- Provide administrative support for internal and external meetings, including meeting management and compilation and distribution of agendas and minutes.
- Respond to procurement enquiries from stakeholders
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives
About you
You are an experienced administrative professional with a proven ability to deliver high-quality support, maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensure accuracy in data and document management, and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will possess strong computer literacy and demonstrated experience using business applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using Contract Management Systems will be highly regarded.
You will have the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism, discretion and sound judgement.
