About the Role

The Business and Innovation Branch within Finance and Commercial Partnerships is dedicated to delivering strategic, efficient, and compliant procurement and contract management solutions. We embrace innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement to support Council’s strategic goals and ensure exceptional service delivery across the organisation.

As a Procurement and Contract Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting Council’s procurement and contract management processes and systems. This position is vital to ensuring compliance, efficiency, and accuracy in all procurement and contracting activities undertaken.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support and administrative services for best practice procurement contract establishment
  • Maintain registers, reports, and records to support branch operations
  • Provide administrative support for governance meetings, including detailed agendas and minutes
  • Manage user access, data and support in in the use of Council’s Contract Management System

About you

  • You have a strong eye for detail and excel at managing data and documentation accurately.
  • Building positive relationships comes naturally to you, and you thrive in team environments.
  • You demonstrate sound judgment, handle sensitive information with discretion, and deliver results under pressure.
  • You’re proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and have the ability to learn and navigate contract management systems.
