About the Role
Join our People and Culture team and help shape how our organisation leads, grows and supports its people. You’ll work with passionate partners across Council to support them in leading change effectively, while also guiding employees through transitions; building confidence and connection across the organisation.
You’ll lead people centred change across major people experience initiatives, designing clear, practical strategies that support new systems, processes and behaviours. If you’re motivated by purposeful transformation and love helping people navigate change with confidence, this role is for you.
Your key focus will include:
- Providing specialist change expertise across people‑related transformation initiatives, particularly payroll and employee experience programs.
- Designing and delivering practical change strategies that build readiness, support adoption and enable sustained behavioural change.
- Leading clear, timely and targeted change communications that help stakeholders understand and support change.
- Building strong, collaborative relationships to influence, coach and guide leaders through the change journey.
- Monitoring progress, identifying risks or resistance, and adapting strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
About you
We’re looking for a confident change practitioner who brings the skills, experience and drive to help our people embrace what’s next, including:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (HR, Business, Project Management, Org Psych or similar) or equivalent experience.
- Hands‑on experience using recognised change methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR) in complex environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence, coach and build commitment.
- Excellent organisation and time‑management, able to juggle competing priorities with accuracy and focus.
- Confident with modern business technologies, including Microsoft Office and corporate reporting tools.
