About the Role
Digital Information Services is the engine behind Council’s technology transformation. We deliver agile, innovative solutions that empower our organisation to provide sustainable, connected services to the Sunshine Coast community. Our branch thrives on collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.
As an IT Workplaces Specialist, you’ll lead a small team and vendors to ensure Council’s audio-visual and modern workplace technologies run smoothly and securely. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our meeting spaces and digital environments, driving innovation and continuous improvement while delivering exceptional service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee AV and workplace technology services, including vendor management and standards
- Supervise Technical Officers and ensure timely, high-quality IT support
- Coordinate IT equipment rollouts, upgrades, and deployments
- Develop and implement AV strategies and workplace technology roadmaps
About you
You hold a relevant IT qualification and have hands-on experience in modern workplace technologies.
You’re confident with Intune, O365 administration, and audio-visual systems, ensuring seamless integration and support.
You bring strong skills in vendor management, contract negotiations, and procurement processes.
You excel in troubleshooting and maintaining a wide range of devices—computers, laptops, smart devices, AV equipment, networks, and printers—while leading teams to deliver exceptional service.
