About the Role

As Team Leader Place Activation & Business Support, you'll drive initiatives that strengthen the Sunshine Coast economy, support local businesses and create vibrant places for our community to live, work and thrive. Lead high-impact projects, build influential partnerships and inspire a high-performing team to deliver lasting regional outcomes.

• Lead initiatives that drive economic growth, investment and job creation across the Sunshine Coast.
• Build and strengthen partnerships with industry, business and government stakeholders.
• Deliver innovative programs and projects that support thriving businesses and vibrant places.
• Identify emerging trends and opportunities to shape the region's economic future.
• Influence strategic decisions through expert advice, business cases and funding opportunities.
• Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing team to achieve impactful community outcomes.
• Represent Council and champion the Sunshine Coast as a premier destination for business and investment.
• Manage key projects, partnerships and budgets that deliver lasting regional value.

About you

We're looking for a proactive and commercially astute leader who can bring people together, drive strategic outcomes and unlock opportunities for the region. You are a confident relationship-builder with a passion for economic growth, a track record of delivering impactful initiatives, and the ability to turn big ideas into real results. If you're motivated by creating vibrant communities, supporting local business success and shaping the future of the Sunshine Coast, this is the role for you.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in economic development, business development or a related field.
• Proven experience developing and delivering strategic economic development projects and initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with industry, business and government stakeholders.
• Strong project management and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to deliver complex outcomes.
