About the Role

The Property Management Branch, provides comprehensive management of Council‑owned land and property assets, including leases, tenancies, inspections and operational property functions - ensuring our facilities remain safe, sustainable and well‑maintained for our community.

This role supports the Senior Facility Officer (Contracts) to develop and implement formalised maintenance services, and to manage contracts that deliver the best value outcomes for the branch within a sound governance framework.

Key Duties:**

  • Provide assistance in the delivery of services in relation to property management, supplier agreements, contracts, contract performance, processes and associated administration involved in managing a broad range of contractors, suppliers and other providers.
  • Maintain accurate Building and Facility asset related data within Council Asset Database, and maintain accurate operational, financial and maintenance records in accordance with any contractual arrangements or legislative requirements.
  • Operate as part of a team to develop and deliver on tasks, regularly liaising with other staff, management and external service providers in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Deliver on team priorities for contracting, scoping and draft specifications in accordance with procurement, governance and probity frameworks
  • Assist with the development of quotation/tender documentation, review with peers and procurement specialists in preparation for release to market

This position is based at  Sunshine Coast City Hall, in the heart of Maroochydore CBD. This state of the art and sustainable building is designed to achieve an innovative and collaborative workspace.

About you

As a professional in contract, asset or facility management, you bring a solid foundation of relevant qualifications or industry experience, along with a strong understanding of procurement, governance and probity requirements.

You are confident working with legislation, able to make decisions, and comfortable developing practical and innovative solutions.

You communicate clearly, build strong working relationships, and can navigate consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution with ease.

You thrive in environments where accuracy and accountability matter, and you’re confident using business technologies, including mobile devices, the Microsoft Office suite, asset management systems and corporate reporting tools.
