About the Role

Arts, Heritage and Libraries enrich the lives of Sunshine Coast residents and visitors through library services, creative and cultural programs, heritage initiatives, and opportunities for learning and connection. As part of the Community Strengthening Department, the Branch plays a vital role in fostering vibrant communities and delivering meaningful experiences that support lifelong learning, creativity and engagement.

As Digital Services Specialist, you will provide specialist advice, technology administration, analytical support and project delivery to ensure the successful operation of Sunshine Coast Libraries' digital services. Working across a diverse range of systems, platforms and technologies, you will help shape innovative library experiences, improve customer outcomes, support evidence-based decision making, and drive the implementation of new technology solutions across the library network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support critical library technology systems, including the Library Management System, RFID, eResources, printing services and communication platforms.
  • Deliver technology projects, upgrades and system improvements that enhance library services and customer experiences.
  • Provide statistical analysis, business intelligence reporting and data insights to support operational and strategic decision making.
  • Develop training, guidance and documentation while partnering with library teams, vendors and stakeholders to optimise digital services.

About you

  • You hold a Diploma in Libraries, Information Services, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or you bring equivalent experience that demonstrates your expertise in digital service delivery.
  • You have experience working within library services, information technology, or a similar environment and enjoy learning and applying new technologies to improve business outcomes.
  • You are an organised professional with strong communication and project management skills, capable of balancing competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • You thrive on solving problems, analysing information and identifying practical, customer-focused solutions. Your analytical mindset and technical proficiency enable you to confidently support complex systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
