About the Role
The Development Services Branch plays a critical role in enabling sustainable growth across the Sunshine Coast. Working closely with industry stakeholders and the community, the Branch delivers customer-focused development assessment services, advice, and support across planning, engineering, environment and compliance. As part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll contribute to shaping one of Australia’s most sustainable and liveable regions.
As a Development Information Officer, you will provide accurate, timely development information, process searches and applications, and support both internal teams and the broader community. This role is essential in ensuring legislative compliance and delivering high-quality customer service. With a strong focus on accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes that support sustainable regional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate development information, advice, and customer support
- Process development searches, applications, and enquiries in line with legislation
- Prepare professional correspondence and maintain records and databases
- Contribute to workflow management and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
You are a customer-focused professional who is confident providing clear, accurate information and resolving enquiries with professionalism and care.
You have strong attention to detail and organisational skills, enabling you to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and consistently deliver high-quality work.
You communicate effectively, both written and verbally, and can prepare clear correspondence while engaging positively with a wide range of stakeholders.
You are a proactive and collaborative team member who builds strong working relationships and actively contributes to improving processes and outcomes.
