About the Role
The Transport Assets & Operations Branch delivers maintenance, construction and asset management services for the Sunshine Coast’s extensive road and related infrastructure network, including pavements, bridges, drainage, pathways and street furniture. Focused on continuous improvement, innovation and service excellence, the Branch plays a critical role in supporting a growing region and ensuring essential infrastructure remains safe, reliable and fit for the future.
As a Contracts Administrator – Civil Engineering, you will provide professional contract administration services supporting the delivery of civil infrastructure programs including road reseals, rehabilitation works, stormwater and drainage projects, and road line marking contracts. Working closely with contractors, stakeholders and project teams, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of projects through effective contract management, financial administration and performance monitoring. This is an exciting opportunity to have a tangible impact on infrastructure outcomes that benefit the Sunshine Coast community.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare contract packages, procurement schedules and scopes of work for asset renewals programs.
- Coordinate tender and evaluation processes, including variations, amendments and award recommendations.
- Administer contracts through site instructions, procurement, variations, extensions of time, project meetings and contractor management.
- Monitor project expenditure, contractor claims, forecasts and reporting to ensure projects meet budget, quality and delivery objectives.
About you
- You have significant experience in contract administration within civil construction, roads or infrastructure environments and understand procurement processes, specifications and contract delivery requirements.
- You are highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage variations, monitor expenditure, solve problems and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- You build strong relationships through professional communication and stakeholder engagement, while demonstrating sound commercial acumen and a commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
