About the Role
Be part of a well-supported and experienced team managing $5 million dollars of community grants annually into the Sunshine Coast Region.
Assist in promoting and strategically implementing community funding programs to support local priorities and build the capacity and resilience of community organisations. This fulfilling role involves engaging with community groups and internal stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and amplify the impact of funded programs. As a requirement of this position you will regularly:
- Work in a community-led practice, collaborating with community groups and volunteers within a community development framework.
- Assist in assessing funding applications that contribute to building a strong community.
- Contribute to reports, evaluation and monitoring of funding programs.
- Liaise effectively, professionally and positively with community groups, indviduals, internal stakeholders and other agencies to support funding objectives.
About you
With a passion for community development and delivering best practice grants management, your ability to prepare professional reports, presentations and policy documents is key to this role.
As a natural communicator, you will excel at consulting and collaborating with diverse community members and stakeholders. Your strong project management skills will help you balance community needs with broader priorities, ensuring timely and impactful results.
You will be a problem-solver & capable of utilising your analytical skills to instigate process improvements and solutions.
A Bachelor degree in social sciences, business, community, and / or cultural development disciplines or substantial experience in the field is pivotal to this role.
