About the Role
Are you a communications professional passionate about stakeholder engagement? The Development Services branch plays a vital role in shaping our region’s future. We work closely with industry stakeholders to deliver customer-focused development assessment services and are looking for the right person to lead strategic communication and engagement initiatives to enhance our customer relationships, trust and collaboration.
As our Business Engagement Officer, you will:
- manage internal and external stakeholder engagement to build strong relationships with our customers
- prepare clear, engaging messaging aligned with our Development Services Customer Charter, and our Stakeholder Management Plan
- Oversee and deliver Branch communication activities and events.
- Manage, update, and promote a centralised knowledge base to enhance the customer experience across all communication channels.
This is a dynamic role where you’ll help shape the future of sustainable development on the Sunshine Coast.
About you
As a Business Engagement Officer, you will bring:
- Highly developed communication, engagement, and interpersonal skills, aligned with our values and vision.
- Strong case management, time management, and organisational skills to manage competing priorities and deliver results.
- Demonstrated ability to develop plans, coordinate actions, and achieve goals in a dynamic environment.
- Experience preparing professional business correspondence and communication materials, with the ability to operate effectively using business systems and web platforms.
- Recognised formal qualifications/accreditations in communication, business, or a related field, or substantial equivalent experience relevant to the role.
- Experience in government environments (highly regarded).
