About the Role

The Digital and Information Services Branch delivers agile and transformative information and technology, enabling council to be a leader in providing innovative and sustainable services to its communities.

As a Business Analyst you will support Sunshine Coast Regional Council’s IT project delivery by analysing the lifecycle of business systems, business relationships and business processes by providing analysis and technical advice to relevant Project Managers. With a key focus on Councils Asset management systems and lifecycle from initiation, maintenance to disposal.

You will perform business and systems analysis, which may include requirements and issue analysis, specification, and documentation of requirements for new systems or enhancements to current systems, and evaluation of application software packages to ensure appropriateness and integration to Council's corporate systems and perform business analysis for various projects as required.

You will have the ability to build relationships and partner with key stakeholders across all relevant council business areas and project teams to facilitate sessions and workshops to ensure clear understanding of current business practices and pain points and update / document relevant business process workflow maps to establish a baseline as relevant to the Asset Management Transformation Program scope.

About you

As a requirement for this role, you will possess a degree in Information Technology, and/or have substantial proven relevant industry experience.

You will have demonstrated experience as a business analysis working with ICT systems and data with the proven ability to positively engage with stakeholders to deliver results.

To be successful you will have strong research, analytical problem solving and evaluation skills with the capacity to examine complex problems and develop innovative strategies for their resolution to a diverse client base, and a proven ability to devise efficient solutions to business challenges and provide analytic expertise in operational and business change.

You will have strong time management and organisation skills to manage multiple and competing priorities, a variety of stakeholder expectations and influencing and achieving preferred business outcomes and have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with particular emphasis in the areas of building effective relationships, consultation, negotiation, conflict resolution and assertiveness to resolve issues and meet changing organisational needs.
