About the Role

The Office of the CEO provides a high level of support and advice to the Mayor and Chief Executive Officer in driving the strategic direction of Council and the organisation, overseeing the delivery of corporate priorities, managing Council’s statutory obligations and building key internal and external relationships.

As an Administration Support Officer, you will:

  • Deliver efficient administrative support, including searches, word processing, data entry, records management, and telephone duties.
  • Coordinate meeting room setup, service, and cleanup for Council meetings and functions.
  • Provide timely, professional customer service by responding to routine enquiries and referring matters as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate data and records using corporate systems such as Electronic Document Management System and Customer Request Management.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment or system issues and liaise with service providers when required.
  • Contribute to team projects and undertake additional administrative tasks as needed

About you

You will possess Certificate II in Business Administration (or equivalent experience) and hold a Current “C” class driver’s licence.

You will have experience in a customer-focused environment with sound knowledge of business practices and procedures, and have strong customer service and time management skills, with proven ability to work effectively in a busy team environment.

You will be proficient in basic computer tasks, including typing, data entry, and creating Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel spreadsheets, with the ability to learn new applications.
