About the Role
Enjoy early starts and early finishes while playing a key role in keeping the Sunshine Coast moving. In this position, you’ll provide high‑level administrative and customer service support to construction and asset management programs responsible for roads, bridges, drainage, pathways and street furniture. Your strong organisation and coordination skills will help ensure operational objectives and KPIs are met through efficient, accurate and timely administration.
This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with operational teams in a practical environment. You’ll be part of a group that values continuous improvement, strong leadership and employee engagement. If you’re proactive, detail‑driven and motivated by meaningful work with real community impact, this role offers variety, responsibility and work‑life balance.
- Provide high‑level administrative and customer service support to operational teams
- Manage correspondence, reports, records and information systems
- Process financial transactions and support project and program delivery
- Coordinate workflows, projects and research to meet operational targets
- Support team members as needed and contribute to a safe, compliant workplace
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm, totalling 72.5 hours across a 9‑day fortnight, with a rostered day off (RDO) every fortnight.
About you
You’re a switched on Administration Officer who thrives in a busy, operational environment. Highly organised and proactive, you bring solid admin experience, strong communication skills and the ability to juggle priorities while delivering accurate, timely outcomes. You’re confident supporting teams, working independently and adapting to changing demands.
- Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Current C Class Driver Licence
- Proven experience in administration or business support roles
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail
- A collaborative, customer‑focused approach
- Willingness to learn new systems and provide after‑hours support during weather events
