About the Role

The Transport Network Operations branch delivers maintenance, construction, and asset management services for road infrastructure, including pavements, bridges, drainage, pathways, and street furniture. It drives continuous improvement through strong leadership and employee engagement.

As an Administration Officer you will:

  • Provide advanced administrative services, including customer contact, word processing, records management, and information systems, ensuring timely and accurate responses to internal and external enquiries.
  • Process financial transactions, prepare reports, and manage high-level internal and external correspondence.
  • Research and analyse information to support the preparation of reports and correspondence.
  • Undertake specific projects as required.
  • Provide on-the-job supervision and training to support officers when necessary.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Certificate III in Business Administration, Local Government, or relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Current “C” Class Driver Licence.
  • Broad experience in administrative and business office functions.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and high-level written communication skills.
  • Experience using civil asset management systems (e.g., Maximo, Confirm), TechnologyOne (T1), and CiAnywhere.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a customer-focused environment and provide task supervision and training.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and provide after-hours support during emergency events.
