About the Role

Join our Parks & Gardens Branch, where we manage a diverse network of public open spaces and recreational areas across the Sunshine Coast. Our team plays a vital role in enhancing community wellbeing, supporting urban greening, and preserving the region’s natural landscapes.

As Senior Contracts Technical Officer, you’ll lead contract management and service delivery, oversee a range of contract services, including mowing, landscaping, estate contracts and reference groups, drive safety, compliance, and mentor teams while managing budgets and performance across the contract lifecycle.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Lead Park contract management and service delivery
  • Oversee estate contracts and community reference groups.
  • Drive safety compliance and contractor performance.
  • Manage budgets, tenders, and mentor cross-functional teams.

About you

You are a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in business development, contract supervision and parks infrastructure. You thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to continual improvement in delivering high-quality service outcomes that benefit the community.

To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated experience in contract management, horticulture, landscaping, and parks maintenance. Your strengths include financial and analytical skills, excellent communication, and a sound understanding of WHS practices and relevant legislation.

Qualifications in contract or project management and experience with digital platforms such as ARCgis and Survey123 will be highly regarded.

Pre-Employment Medical Required

Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
