About the Role
Exciting new venue and meeting spaces are opening in our Caloundra community, and we are looking forward to building an amazing customer focused facility. . Library+ Caloundra is a state-of-the-art space for our community and will enrich the lives of our residents.
Arts, Heritage and Libraries branch provides library services, creative, cultural and heritage programs. Library+ Caloundra will meet the demand for a contemporary experience that includes expanded programs and service access for the community.
This role will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Library+ Caloundra, including but not limited to:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Library+ Caloundra venue spaces including guiding staff and contractors, managing venue processes and procedures, facilitating venue cleaning, security and maintenance, and coordinating booking schedules.
- Liaise with Library+ Caloundra teams, specialist library teams, internal providers and external contractors to build relationships, align procedures, maintain knowledge, coordinate support, repair and maintenance, with the goal to provide an optimal customer experience.
- Organise and successfully deliver a diverse range of corporate events, including multiday conferences, day seminars and meetings, gala, awards functions and expos.
- Efficiently respond to enquiries, receive and process venue hire applications, administer booking system, venue hire contracts, complete pre-booking inductions and post-booking signoff, and other tasks required to successfully manage venue bookings.

About you**
In this role you will manage the venue and meeting spaces in Library+ Caloundra to ensure provision of a high-quality venue and event service to the local community, and internal and external stakeholders.
As a minimum requirement of this role, you will have:
- A Diploma in Business Administration or other relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience and qualifications.
- Knowledge of the operations of community venues and meeting spaces.
- Strong, planning, scheduling, organisational skills with demonstrated ability to develop plans, coordinate activities, gain cooperation and deliver successful outcomes.
- Working knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, venue booking and invoicing software, technology operational requirements (including AV equipment, streaming, etc) and other applications or software relevant to venue management.
- The ability to work flexible hours (including weekend work), which caters for the needs and operation of the venue.
- Current Blue Card and current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain one.

Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
