Council's skilled trades and labour workforce manage, maintain and improve:
- the road network and associated assets
- public open space for active and recreation and
- protect and enhance the region's natural environment.
They contribute expertise towards assessing various aspects of development on the coast. Our skilled trades and labour workforce an integral part of creating a community to be enjoyed by both residents and visitors alike, now and into the future.

Administration and services
With council delivering close to 25 core services to our 330,000 residents, our front line staff are critical to the fulfillment of these services. Our services operate in many varied roles from safety related services like disaster management and beach patrols, to recreational services, our arts and library facilities and not to forget animal management and the pound.
We also have a core administration community of talented individuals in office sites across the coast with our core hubs in Caloundra, Maroochydore and Nambour.
