About the Role

The Transport Network Management branch provides high-level maintenance, construction and asset management services for all road and related infrastructure assets.

As a Roadside Asset Engineer, you’ll:

• Lead asset planning for roadside assets including pathways and kerb
• Manage condition assessments and performance modelling
• Oversee asset databases and reporting using Confirm and Power BI
• Act as Council’s liaison engineer for TMR infrastructure projects
• Provide technical advice and stakeholder coordination
• Assist in developing Council’s Capital Renewal Program
• Investigate customer requests, insurance claims and permit applications
• Support tender documentation and design reviews
• Apply asset management principles to optimise long-term performance

About you

As a qualified Roadside Asset Engineer, you will:

• Hold tertiary qualifications in civil engineering
• Understand design and construction of roads, bridges and drainage
• Be experienced in asset management systems and modelling tools
• Demonstrate strong analytical, communication and stakeholder skills
• Be familiar with TMR/Local Government cost sharing arrangements
• Have a current “C” Class Driver’s License
