About the Role

The People and Culture branch partners with the business to inspire great leadership and build capability across the organisation.

As a Payroll Solutions Officer, you’ll:

  • Assist in delivering accurate and timely fortnightly payroll
  • Interpret Awards and Agreements and provide salary sacrifice and superannuation support
  • Serve as the key liaison between the payroll operations team and project teams through collaboration with stakeholders to identify and document payroll system requirements, including compliance and remediation needs.
  • Apply expertise in Council’s peopleHUB and Dayforce systems
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders on rostering and workforce management
  • Investigate pay anomalies and calculate special work arrangements
  • Prepare termination payments and respond to audit requests
  • Act as liaison between payroll operations and project teams for system improvements
  • Contribute to process redesign, UAT and compliance fixes
  • Support training and transition planning for upcoming changes

About you

As a requirement of this role, you will:

  • Hold a Diploma in HR Management, Payroll Administration or equivalent experience
  • Have substantial payroll experience in a medium to large organisation
  • Understand payroll legislation, policies and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and corporate system

Appointment to this position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a Criminal History Check.
