About the Role

Be the driver of contract administration services to support the management of high performing contracted services in relation to road reseal, rehabilitation, stormwater and drainage, road line marking and other civil programs.

Sunshine Coast Council’s Transport Network Operations branch provide high level maintenance, construction and asset management services for all road and related infrastructure assets (pavements, bridges, drainage, pathways and street furniture). A critical focus of the group is continuous performance improvement through leadership and employee engagement.

We are seeking a Contracts Administrator to provide civil engineering contract administration services to support the management of high performing contracted services in relation to road reseal, rehabilitation, stormwater and drainage, road line marking and other civil programs. In an average week you will:

  • Prepare contract packages, scopes and procurement schedules to contribute to the contract management of council’s civil works
  • Contribute to tender and evaluation processes by managing timeframes, actions, variations and amendments to scopes of works, schedules, award recommendations and participate on panels as required
  • Act as a key contact for the on-boarding and customer management of awarded contracts/contractors.  Providing overview of contract conditions, key performance indicators and processes for variations

About you

You are qualified in the field of business, project management or engineering.

You have proven experience in the development and administration of contracts relating to civil construction, infrastructure or roads projects.

You are diligent, technically adept and able to work out quantities, manage contracts and work delivered. You have experience developing technical specifications and applying the procedures and standard requirements for procurement of services.

You’ll be an analytical thinker, professional in your communication and efficient in the way you approach your tasks. You’ll have an eye for detail, as well as strong time management to administer contract variations and monitor expenditure.

Additionally, you will have be proficient in using computer programs, including Microsoft Word & Excel.
