About the Role

The Transport Network Operations branch are recruiting multiple positions for a Level 3 & Level 4 Civil Field Worker.

The Transport Network Operations branch provides high-level maintenance, construction and asset management services for roads and related infrastructure.

As a Civil Field Worker, you’ll:

  • Carry out civil construction and maintenance tasks including concreting, kerb and channel, stormwater drainage, roads, bridges and roadside assets
  • Operate and maintain Council machinery and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with WH&S and environmental standards
  • Complete daily documentation and report operational matters
  • Work effectively as part of a high-performing team
  • Provide on-the-job coaching to trainees and new staff
  • Deliver quality customer service and identify improvements in work practices

About you

As a hands-on professional, you will:

  • Hold a General Safety Induction (Blue Card)
  • Have a current C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Be physically fit for labouring and heavy lifting tasks
  • Demonstrate teamwork, problem-solving and communication skills

Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
