About the Role

As a Senior HR Business Partner you will partner with assigned business areas to anticipate workforce needs today and into the future, playing a crucial role to integrate the people and culture strategy to business execution.


You will spend your time coaching and providing advice and HR leadership to executive and frontline leaders.  As well as customising HR solutions to shape and contribute to an outstanding organisation.


Key job tasks can include:

  • Relationship management and provision of strategic HR advice and leadership
  • Leadership of projects with high organisational impact to support the delivery of the People & Culture branch priorities
  • Oversee and participate in the management of executive, leadership and strategic talent acquisitions
  • Lead and respond to employee relations matters including complex cases
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies, procedures and practices by undertaking research, facilitating focus groups, and co-designing our ways of working.


This position is currently based in Nambour and will be relocating to Sunshine Coast City Hall (Maroochydore) towards the end of 2022 /early 2023.

When dealing with sensitive case matters, you will be resilient combined with a kind and compassionate approach with people that achieves results and timely outcomes.


Other requirements of this role, include:


  • Degree qualification in HRM or equivalent
  • Extensive HR and Employee Relations experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to coach and develop inspiring leadership behaviour at all levels.
  • Experience interpreting and applying relevant employment legislation and managing workplace grievances and investigations.
  • Experience leading HR or OD projects.
  • Experience supporting strategic workforce planning initiatives.
