About the Role

Our Sunshine Coast Libraries are seeking a Senior Library Officer to manage the day-to-day operation of library circulation and to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.


Key duties include:

  • Ensure excellence in the presentation of the collection throughout the branch, including the review of materials for repair and replacement, and general retail presentation of the library
  • Roster, supervise and assist library staff to ensure quality control of circulation procedures and appropriate distribution of workloads
  • Provide leadership, participate in work team activities and contribute to relevant training, professional development and change management strategies
  • Assist with the development and delivery of promotional, youth support, outreach and other programs as required to increase awareness of the library and its services to external and internal customers


About you

As someone who will provide guidance and support to our community, we’re also looking for those who are genuinely passionate about library services, reading and literature.


You are qualified with a Diploma of Library & Information Science, Community Development or similar and are well-versed in a library environment.
