About the role:
Contribute through excellent individual and team efforts, to the high quality customer service provided to both internal and external customers, and assist with the day-to-day provision of library operations, ensuring ready access to resources and services by customers.
You must be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
Possess sound interpersonal skills with a proven history of providing excellent customer service both internally and externally.
Proven experience in provision of a roving style of customer service, and be able to engage with a range of customers throughout the library.
Ability to give engaging presentations to groups, and train individuals or small groups. Demonstrated resilience for working in a public space.
The ability to familiarise yourself with the library management system and other business processes and adhere to established procedures and policies.
Perform library duties such as shelving, issues, returns and stock maintenance.
Assist in the provision of reference and information services to library users including online information retrieval, loans, technology and equipment.
A love for literature and reading and the ability to assist customers with of a broad selection of reading material.
Be a supportive and engaging team member with the ability to work at multiple Library Hubs as required to meet business needs.
Additionally, you will have achieved Year 12 or equivalent and/or a Certificate III in Library and Information Services or equivalent related qualifications and acceptable performance of duties.
